Sabreyah Nowrozi has been named our Premier League Community Captain for 2025, in recognition of her commitment and contribution to the game and to society, and for the instrumental role she played in supporting our Al Haadiyah projects and women's football sessions.
On receiving the award, Sabreyah said: 'I am shocked and delighted to receive this award. I really enjoy working for Harrogate Town Community Foundation and I'm thankful for the opportunity it has given me to make a difference in our local community through football.'
Lynsey Barraclough of Harrogate Town said: 'The commitment and efforts of Sabreyah have been outstanding as part of the Premier League Kicks programme, and the award is testament to all her hard work and dedication to improving our local community. Her energy, positivity and warmth light up every room she walks into. As a crucial member of our Community Foundation and our dedicated Community Captain, she plays an essential role in bringing people together, inspiring those around her and making a real difference. We are so fortunate to have her leading the way.'
The award was part of the Premier League's 'More Than A Game' campaign, which celebrates more than 100 Community Captains nominated by Premier League, EFL and National League clubs for their contribution to their local communities through Premier League-funded programmes. Between 2022 and 2025 the Premier League is investing £1.6 billion into wider football and communities across England and Wales.
